7) Turning Out of Time

‘Turning Out of Time’ is a song about the misalignment between a person's dreams and plans versus the birth of those plans into the real world. Once the difficult work of healing has been done and we feel ready to actualise our creativity, we have to contend with a world that isn't always friendly to this creativity. Therein lies our next challenge, which is to stay hopeful and connected.

‘It’s been twenty years and I can't catch a break.

No one's coming - no one's waiting at the gate.

And I don't think that's such a bad thing -

I've learned to make things happen for myself,

But every now and then I can't help thinking

‘I wish the world would throw a sign to me’.
